Always wearing eyeliner, never out the door without lipstick. I love creating new experiences with fashion, beauty and all other things in life. I also love photography. Well, you’ll notice. I am a freelance fashion stylist & online warrior by day and my own #girlboss at my very own platform by night.
Gambitsky is not just another blog. It’s my own fashion and "little bit of everything" corner with real cutting-edge articles, life experiences and another side of myself.

      SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

      Finding inspiration can be hard.
Let's discuss where I do find motivation. When you get lost in the internet scroll, it's truly not that hard...

      Pinterest
Honestly, Pinterest isn't for middle aged women pinning recipes (though that sounds great too). Pinterest has become one of my major sources of inspiration and I love it because you can create your own boards for just about anything. Base them off of mood, color schemes, ideas, future photoshoot ideas, content creation...once you get a basis of good boards, the possibilities are endless, and it can truly provide insight on where your style is headed in a specific moment.
My boards are in categories including fashion such as streetstyle, beauty, travel, and of course... cats.
The amazing thing too is that once you start repinning images that have a certain aesthetic, Pinterest registers it and will start recommending posts that fit your style.
I have secret mood boards created for certain shoots or bang-spiration, too

      Magazines
If you enjoy more tangible inspiration, magazines and books can be your go-to.
Don't look at these huge photoshoots as intimidating, instead focus on the minor details that have been incorporated that you can somehow utilize in your own photos. Perhaps it is a certain styling technique, or a way of words, or different angles used.
Cut out images, create a physical mood board, and surround yourself by it so you can constantly be inspired by the photographs you love most.

      Look Around
This last one is pretty typical, but I feel like we don't do it as much anymore. Sometimes, admiring people's outfits on the street can fuel my creative bug. The most mundane things, like morning coffee shops, restaurants, random vintage shops, couples walking, an old building, can give me encouragement. Seeing the little things in life is an amazing way to inspire the big things.

      XOXO , Camila Andrea.

      MAKEUP FAVORITES LATELY

      GAMBITSKYCamilatorres

I would definitely consider myself a makeup lover and that's probably not a secret to you.
I'm a big fan of a glowy and "natural looking skin" even though I'm wearing foundation and other products on top.

Here are some of the products I enjoy the most when it comes to achieve a glowy and youthful look
      .

      Foundations
      Guerlain Lingerie De Peau foundation
I really love this foundation. I am the type of girl that loves a sheer to medium coverage foundation that is easily buildable and is effortless in the application process. I love foundations that make my skin look airbrushed and natural without it looking like I have 10 pounds of makeup on. This foundation does just that! In addition, it leaves a silky satin finish on the face that isn't irritating after a full days wear and it also includes SPF 20.
I have dry skin and an oily T-zone. This foundation paired with my smashbox primer gave me a full day wear.
Towards the 8th hour, I had to pat my nose with a tissue once to remove the excess oil but never once did I have to reapply or powder my nose.

      Giorgio Armani Silk Foundation
What I love about this foundation is that it has a bit of a powdery finish to it.
I don't need set it with powder when I'm done which is a big plus since my skin is dry, my face stays matte during the day without any need of touch up.
This lovely foundation has a velvety, glowing finish that is perfect for an everyday look and even nights out.
It truly deserves all the hype it receives.

      Lipstick
      Pillow Talk Charlotte Tilbury:

Finding the right nude lipstick is mission impossible! You know what I’m talking about…
The perfect nude lipstick should mimic your natural lip color as much as possible but with just a bit more oomph.
It shouldn’t be so nude it looks like you’re wearing concealer on your lips, and you should definitely aim for a more soft pink/brown shade since most people’s lips naturally fall in that family of shades.
My perfect nude is pillow talk by Charlotte Tilbury

      Blush

      Nars
I basically live for my Nars favorites, both Orgasm Blush and Dolce Vita are something I use on daily basis.
I tried them about a year ago because people were raving about how flattering these blushers are, and they were right! This sort of peachy/pink/gold shades brings live to the entire face and looks incredibly natural.
Really love how only the blushers can take your look to the next level!

      XOXO , Camila Andrea.

      I WANT COATS, NOT SUGAR.

      In neutrals & layers

      we trust…

Neutral colors in not-so-basic pieces are one of the keys to achieve the effortless chic look. While it’s true that there’s nothing classier than a white shirt and a black blazer, the evolution of these garments into modern silhouettes, brings a visual interest which goes out of the ordinary and, at the same time, blends perfectly with the everyday pieces we all have in our wardrobes. 70% classic + 30% fashion.

      Statement pieces are worth

      a thousand basics…

After stocking up on basic and not-so-basic pieces, it’s time to add statement pieces to elevate the outfit from a normal to a special one. Think of jewelry, bags and shoes you think you wouldn’t wear everyday, you can take them from day to night in the blink of an eye.
Find a design that fits your style and get a few to make it your personal seal (in my case, accessories & the pink sweater).

      Don’t be afraid to play…

Mixing high end and high street pieces, from local designers or international brands; menswear mixed with womenswear or fabrics and textures that weren’t created for the everyday wear; don’t be afraid to mix and match, create new silhouettes keeping a flattering proportion for your body and adding some color along the way. Your goal is to turn around people’s faces and to receive comments such as “I never thought you could mix wide trousers with a neoprene sweatshirt“, or something along that line.

      XOXO , Camila Andrea.
